Banana Walnut Oatmeal

What’s better than not having to get up to go to work in the morning— nothing you’re right. BUT what if I told you there’s a way to give yourself some extra time. Go ahead, hit the snooze button once or twice because breakfast is already made. Banana Walnut Oatmeal has a pretty simple ingredient checklist. All in which can be found around the house. Plus you can fix and forget the night before and wake up to a healthy, hearty, and filling breakfast. This recipe can feed four people and while it can be refrigerated and reheated in the morning (add a splash of milk,) I suggest it to be eaten within 24 hours. Personal preference nonetheless. Save some time in the morning by avoiding breakfast prep and do the scoop and sprinkle! Spoon your desired amount of pre-made oatmeal into your dish and sprinkle your toppings/garnishing. Voilà you are ready to enjoy!



  • Mash bananas
  • Dump oats, bananas, milk, water, cinnamon, vanilla extract, walnuts, and nutmeg in crock pot
  • Stir as evenly as possible
  • Crock on Low for 8 hours (I decided Low because it is an overnight dish, yes you can sleep in longer than 8 hours but I would not leave the recipe in the crock pot longer than 10) If you want to make this dish on High, check out Crock-tology 101: Crocking on High OR Low for an easy time conversion chart


  • For a sweeter taste: Garnish with chocolate chips and use Silk Vanilla Almondmilk
  • For a healthier recipe: use fat free or skim milk
  • Allergic to nuts: strike the walnuts and add chocolate chips, coconut, etc.
